Serving this website involves technical information such as IP address, requested URL, request time, browser and device information, and security/error logs handled by the hosting infrastructure. This supports page delivery, reliability and protection against abuse. The portfolio has no contact form or visitor account. When you contact Marco by email, phone or WhatsApp, the contact details, message content and attachments you choose to provide are used to respond and manage professional enquiries. Providing these details is voluntary; without a suitable contact method, a response may not be possible.
Legal bases
Professional enquiries and project preparation are handled to take steps at your request before a contract or to perform a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Website operation, security and ordinary professional correspondence rely on legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)); applicable legal obligations rely on Article 6(1)(c). There are no marketing subscriptions or automated decisions about visitors.
Language and browser storage
The code of this portfolio does not set cookies. It uses the following first-party browser storage only for requested navigation functions. These values are not sent to an analytics service.
marco-castrucci-language— localStorage: stores your manual EN / IT / ES choice until you change it or clear site data. The same key in sessionStorage provides a tab-session fallback.marco-castrucci-language-position— sessionStorage: temporarily records the section offset and horizontal scroll position for a language change. It is used only within 15 seconds, removed after restoration, and otherwise lasts until the tab session ends.
You can clear these values in your browser’s site-data settings. Without them the pages remain available, but language and position may not be remembered. Automatic selection reads browser language; no precise location permission or external IP-geolocation service is used.
External links and vCard
WhatsApp is a direct link only. No WhatsApp widget or script loads before you click; opening it connects you to WhatsApp, whose own privacy terms apply. Email and telephone links open your chosen application. LinkedIn and IMDb are also external links, not embedded widgets. Downloading marco-castrucci.vcf provides Marco’s professional contact details and is not used for profiling or download tracking by this site; the file request can still be processed in ordinary hosting logs.
Technical services and recipients
The site is published through OpenAI ChatGPT Sites using Cloudflare delivery infrastructure. Technical request data may be handled by those providers for hosting and security. Email sent to the published Gmail address is handled by Google’s email service; WhatsApp processes information when you choose that channel. Authorised technical providers and authorities where required by law may receive relevant data. This portfolio does not intentionally integrate Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising tools, heatmaps or session recording. Platform-level processing is governed by the providers’ terms; this notice does not claim that hosting infrastructure processes no data.
Retention, security and international processing
Professional messages are retained for the time needed to handle the enquiry and any subsequent work, legal obligations or legal claims. Browser-storage retention is described above. Hosting-log retention is controlled by the hosting providers, not by this page’s code. The site uses HTTPS. Technical and communication providers operate internationally and may process data outside the EEA; their policies describe locations and applicable transfer safeguards. Details of a specific processing operation or safeguard can be requested at the privacy email address.
Your rights
Where applicable, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Any consent you have separately given can be withdrawn without affecting earlier lawful processing. Write to the privacy email above. You may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority or your competent supervisory authority.
